@image /content/dam/pebblegodev/blog/Dec-25-content-release.png a stick figures head and a purple background This December, we’re releasing 28 new PebbleGo Next articles (in both English and Spanish) across Animals, Biographies, and Social Studies, continuing our mission to grow with your classrooms and support standards-based instruction. @h6 PebbleGo Next Animals Since launching on August 1, PebbleGo Next Animals has been a favorite addition for upper-elementary learners ready to dig deeper into science and research. PebbleGo Next Animals launched with 150 articles and included brand-new additions like Barn Owls, Brown Bears, and White-Tailed Deer, alongside PebbleGo favorites like Axolotls, Polar Bears, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. This mix gave older learners fresh content that aligns with common 3-5 standards to explore while allowing them to dive deeper into the animals they learned about in PebbleGo. With this release, we’re expanding the collection with new favorites—like Emperor Penguins, Manatees, Blue Sharks, and Immortal Jellyfish. These updates mean that the top 50 most popular animal articles in PebbleGo will now also be available in PebbleGo Next, helping educators bridge content between early and upper grades with ease. @h6 PebbleGo Next Social Studies Our upcoming Social Studies additions combine high-interest topics and standards alignment. You’ll find new articles on U.S. national parks—including Acadia, Everglades, Great Smoky Mountains, and Zion. These were chosen for their cross-curricular potential and popularity among park-goers. To extend classroom connections, educators can pair the national park articles with their corresponding state article, landforms, or animal habitats in PebbleGo for layered exploration. For example, after reading about Everglades National Park, students might explore the Florida article to learn about the state’s unique geography, then connect what they’ve learned by examining how Wetlands supports animals like Manatees and Alligators. Discussions could center on how climate, location, and conservation efforts shape the park’s ecosystem. We’re also adding to the PebbleGo Next Economics category with topics like Inflation and Deflation, Banks and Financial Institutions, and Types of Capital. These articles make complex ideas approachable for grades 3–5. With this update, PebbleGo Next supports 87% of 3rd - 5th grade economics standards across the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework. @h6 PebbleGo Next Biographies Our new Biographies offer a mix of influential historical and contemporary figures, reflecting voices that connect to the interests of today’s learners. This update includes Jim Thorpe, Jalen Hurts, and Sabrina Carpenter. Each new biography adds a meaningful perspective from history, athletics, or the arts, giving students fresh examples of leadership, creativity, and expression. @h6 Managing Content and Staying Updated All new articles appear automatically for subscribers, and building administrators can easily tailor which modules and topics are visible to best align with their school’s learning goals.
